Johnson, Robert Wood
(15 feb. 1845, Carbondale, Pa., EE.UU.–7 feb. 1910, New Brunswick, N.J.).

Fabricante estadounidense. Inició su carrera profesional como farmacéutico e intermediario de fármacos. En 1885, junto con sus hermanos, fundó la empresa de suministros médicos Johnson&Johnson y fue su presidente ejecutivo hasta su fallecimiento. Pionero en la aplicación de las enseñanzas de Joseph Lister, Johnson se esforzó al máximo por que sus productos estuvieran libres de gérmenes. La alta calidad y el bajo costo de los suministros médicos de la empresa, como vendas y vendajes antisépticos, resultaron ser de gran valor para la cirugía. La Fundación Robert Wood Johnson es una importante institución filantrópica.
